Redefining Work

Many people today take work for granted and this is majorly because of a lack of understanding of the Concept of Work.
So, what is work?
Work is your meaningful contribution to the measurable progress of a cause which is or will be profitable to others, the society, posterity, and you.
Read that again.
You Won’t Find It On Google.
Work Is Essence On Display.
It Is The Exertion Of Your Mental, Emotional, Physical, Financial, And Social Capacities Towards The Execution Of A Worthy Cause.
Work Is The Privilege Of Giving Back To The World The Gift God Put In You.
I’ve Given Three Definitions Now. That is Work.
Note The Elements That Make It Work:
1. It Is Meaningful
2. It Is A Contribution
3. Work Is Exertion.
4. Work Is A Privilege.
5. Work Is Giving Back.
It Should Make Meaning To You.
In The Just Concluded UBA Celebration Of Africa Day, The Director Of The World Trade Organization, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala Said Something I Will Never Forget.
She said “If 70% Of The Mornings I Wake Up, I Don’t Want To Go To Work, Then I Know I’m Doing The Wrong Thing.”
Check. Are You Doing What Has Meaning To You?
Work Is A Contribution. You Have To Participate And Share Your Part.
It Is Exertion. It Will Demand Some Vigor.
Work Is A Privilege.
This Alone Can Change Everything For You, – This Understanding.
Every Time You Have To Work, Know That You Have Been Given A Privilege.
It Isn’t A Right.
Otherwise, Everyone Would Be Working.
Work Is Giving Back. That’s Your Way Of Giving Away Some Of The Treasure You Find On The Inside.
Of What Use Is A Treasure Stowed Away Where No One Can Use?
This My Friends Is Work.
And Who Is Work For? Every Human Being. Especially You.
