I Had A Project To Work On Recently And Of Course, I Know My Mettle. The Lead Person And I Were On The Same Page, Professional, Respect-wise And Communication.
Then I Get paired With This Person And Boom!
The Guy Is Rude, Condescending And Straight Up Overbearing.
Many Times I Had To Bite My Tongue And Hold My Breath.
Inhale, Count To Ten And Exhale.
Too Many Times, I Had It On The Edge Of My Tongue To Ask, “Do You Know Who I Am?”
But My Better Judgment Says, “Does It Matter?”
You See That Temptation Jesus Faced With The Devil?
“If You Are The Son Of God, Command These Stones To Turn To Bread?”
The Temptation To Prove Yourself.
Now, That’s A Real Identity Crisis If You Can’t Deal. But Stay High.
Margaret Thatcher Once Said, “Being A Leader Is Like Being A Woman. If You Have To Tell People You Are, Then You Probably Aren’t.”
Breathe. It’s Enough That You Know Who You Are And What You Are Capable Of.
Sometimes, That’s All That Matters.
I Learned And I’m Still Learning That When You Find Yourself Between Choosing The High Or Low, Stick To The Higher Moral Ground.
